Bonnieux and Back - July 8th, 2011

Took a quick, 8-mile round trip to Bonnieux this morning with the wolf pack.  The walk over to our neighboring town was anything but pleasant.  The sun was beating down on my fair skin and there was not one hint of wind, an unusual weather situation for this area.  But our mission was simple: pizza and ice cream.  When the little old lady that ran the restaurant placed the pizza platter down on our table, the wolf pack let out a pathetic sigh of relief.  I noticed a hint of light coming through the precious, thin crust.  It was like it had a bit of transparency to it because it was so extremely delicate. There was such much cheesy, bubbly goodness all being contained on this crisp, herb-infused crust, I was certain the pizza was defying gravity.

Crust so thin and crispy it could barely hold the toppings

Is it weird to think these sausages are beautiful?

I wanted a hat so bad, but my head was just too big :(
